We are called to serve people. Jesus said, “The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” (Matthew 23:11-12, NIV)
Jesus set an example for us to serve others in love. Furthermore, the Bible tells us that we all have gifts—special abilities given by God—that can be used to bless others.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
1 Peter 4:10, NIV
Current Opportunities to Serve
- Welcome Center – People needed at our Welcome Center on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights.
- Café – Sunday morning services or help with dinners prior to Wednesday night activities (on rotation).
- Registration/Security – Children’s Ministry needs people to serve in this area during one Sunday morning service or one Wednesday night service a month.
- Kitchen – help keep our church kitchen clean and updated, or serve on a kitchen team for special events.
- Children’s Ministry is looking for Assistant Teachers for Wednesday night Girls Ministry classes and our Sunday morning preschool class for either service. If you are interested, please contact Pastor Sonja at pastorsonja@cag.org or 301.262.6266.
